Most likely the one you have right now! Most vehicles can support a rooftop tent. We currently have two models to choose from along with various accessories to get your specific setup dialled. You'll also need an appropriate roof rack to mount your tent. Please contact us to discuss the right tent and rack fitment for your vehicle!

There are many options depending on the type of vehicle you have. We can recommend the correct fitment for your vehicle. Whether you require full roof racks, cross bars or a tub mount for your ute we can help find your best solution. Please note that as a general rule, round cross bars or small square cross bars are not suitable for rooftop tent mounting. There is also a minimum cross bar width of 125cm required for our Sky Loft Tent.

Our tents are constructed with durability in mind. All tent bodies are made from UV resistant 280g ripstop canvas. We use double stitching and taped seams throughout, strong YKK & SBS zippers, reinforced aluminium frames and industrial stainless hardware. We also include upgraded high density foam mattresses in all of our tents, because we believe in bringing you the best nights sleep.

Wedge style tents are lightning fast and simple to set up, even if you're travelling solo. The design results in large windows and multiple access points, meaning bigger views from your bedside, and easier entry and exit. The Steep roof angle also quickly sheds water which avoids pooling even in the heaviest downpours. The additional height of our wedge style tents also provides a surprising sense of space. We've found ourselves spending more chill time in our SMRT Tent than expected simply because it's such a comfortable space to be.

You can absolutely pack up your tent when it’s wet. We suggest leaving your windows zipped up because that will help keep the moisture on the outside. Give it a good shake and get as much water off as you can before pack-up. Once you've arrived at your new location just pop it back open and allow it to dry. It's important to make sure your tent is completely dry before longer term storage.

Adding extra weight to your vehicle will naturally affect your fuel economy. Our tents, however, are amongst the slimmest and most aerodynamic available.

No, you cannot use an automated car wash while you have a rooftop tent installed.

We believe the best warranty starts with prevention! That’s why we only produce durable and reliable products designed and tested for real world use in the NZ outdoors. We do understand though that sometimes things can go wrong, so we cover all our products with a 24 month manufacturing defect warranty. We want you to be able to get on with your adventure not worry about your investment! If you have an issue, a warranty claim or any questions please email us! Please note we can't cover regular wear and tear or damage such as punctures, rips or burns. It's also important that you handle and store your tent appropriately to avoid un-necessary damage.

We think you'll love your SMRT Tent as much as we do! But we do offer a 30 day return policy on all our products. If you wish to return your purchase please email us with your details and we'll get you sorted! To qualify for a return your item needs to be in original un-used and undamaged condition and returned in it's original un-damaged box. Once we've received your return in the above listed condition we will process your refund. Refunds will be issued by the same payment method with which the product was originally purchased. You will be responsible for any return shipping costs. We are only able to refund the original purchase price of the item excluding any shipping costs associated with it's original delivery.
